Diabetes type 2 criteria: FBS =>126 A1c =>6.5
Prediabetes: FBS = 100-126, A1c = 5.7-6.4

D. Glp-1 agonist:
Blackbox: hx of medullary thyroid CA, (SE: pancreatitis, N,V,D, constipation)
Criteria: BMI >27 with comorbidities (OA), or BMI >=30
Zepbound (tirzepatide for weight loss)-/ 2.5 - 15 mg/week (may increase dose after 1 month)
Wegovy (semaglutide for weight loss), 0.25. 0.5, 1.0, 1.7, 2.4 mg/ week (increase slowly)
Wegovy Tablets (semaglutide): 1.5, 4, 9, 25 mg per day
BMI >diabetes
Trulicity: (dulaglutide for diabetes) 0.75, 1.5, up to 4.5 mg/week
Ozempic (semaglutide for diabetes): 2, 4, 8 mg/3 ml q week
Ozempic tabs (semaglutide): 1.5, 4, 9 mg qd
Mounjaro (tirzepatide for both weight loss and diabetes)

yearly blood test for diabetes: cbc, chem, a1c, lfts, testosterone free and total, psa urinalysis, urine ACR (albumin to creatinine ratio)
three month blood tests: chem, a1c
diabetic type 2: no insulin: 100 lancets per 90 days
diabetic type 2: insulin: 300 lancets per 90 days
